About Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center

Formed in 1974, Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) is an independent, not-for-profit organization that plays an integral role in the communityÕs health.  MVRBC has reliably served the regional and national community for over 30 years, collecting more than 120,000 units annually in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri.

MVRBC is community-based and wholly dependent on blood collections from volunteer donors.  Once local needs are met, MVRBC assists a national network of community blood centers through a resource-sharing program. Licensed by the US Food & Drug Administration and accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks, MVRBC is a member of AmericaÕs Blood Centers, North AmericaÕs largest network of nonprofit community centers, which collects half of the US blood supply.
