About Organ Donation
Throughout their lives, dedicated volunteer blood donors provide a critical, lifesaving resource that impacts the treatment of patients throughout our region. Many blood donors also choose to help others at their time of death by registering to become an organ donor.
Organ and tissue donation can represent a final act of generosity on the part of the deceased and can give patients an opportunity to return to healthy, productive lives.
To learn about registering to become an organ donor, see the Donate Life America web site (www.donatelife.net). Because the laws governing organ donation vary by state, each of the states in the MVRBC service region maintain separate organ donation registries.
