About Blood: The Need for Blood

Most of us will require a blood transfusion at some point in our lives. To meet patient needs for blood and blood components, the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center requires approximately 2,010 donors every week. Last year, about 270,000 patients were helped with over 100,000 donations of blood given by volunteer donors.
