Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and Southeast Iowa Blood Center Honor Blood Donors
Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and Southeast Iowa Blood Center honor area whole blood/double red cell donors who reached a specific gallon donation milestone during 2007 at their annual recognition receptions. In certain areas, members of the 24 Carat Club will also be recognized. Following are the dates, times and places for each recognition reception:

Memorial Day Campaign Honors Veterans
Memorial Day is observed on Monday, May 26th, and, typically, we have a more difficult time getting folks to donate during that holiday timeframe. We are offering donors a very special way to honor veterans in our communities during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Any donors presenting to donate on Friday, May 23rd, Saturday, May 24th, Tuesday, May 27th, and Wednesday, May 28th, will have the opportunity to donate in honor of a veteran, living or passed. Donors will have two options to show their support. They can put their name along with the name of the veteran on a flag-shaped cutout that will be placed on walls around the fixed sites, bulletin boards, or windows, or they can put their name along with the veteran’s name on a specially-designed postcard that MVRBC will mail to the veteran or the loved one of the veteran being honored. Donors will need to have the mailing address when they present to donate. Following is a list of the donor centers, along with the hours of operation during the Memorial Day weekend:
