Mobile Ambassadors Needed Throughout Our Service Area!
Witness and celebrate your community giving life as a Mobile Ambassador! You can contribute on mobile blood drives in any of the following ways:
- Refreshment Attendants
- Bag Issuers
- Sealers
Donor Refreshment Volunteers (Burlington, IA) (Davenport, IA) (Dubuque, IA) (Moline, IL)
As a Donor Refreshment Attendant, your positive interaction with donors encourages strong relationships and return visits. Promoting refreshments and ensuring the safety of donors supports our donor services staff and the service we provide to our donors and community.
Donor Registration Clerks (Davenport, IA) (Cedar Rapids, IA)
Donor Registration Clerks greet and welcome donors as they come into the blood center. They also provide support to staff and donors by being the first step in the donation process – registration. This position does require working with computers, so comfort in that area is helpful.
Plasma Packers (Davenport, IA)
Assist our laboratory with plasma packing needs by entering applicable information into our computer system and packing and sealing in boxes for transport.
Drivers (Davenport, IA)
Assist our Product Management Department in one of the following positions:
- Delivery: Transport processed blood from the Davenport Center to area hospitals for patient use. *
- Mobile Pickup: Transport blood from mobile drives to the Davenport Center for processing. *
- Site Pickup: Transport blood from area Donor Centers to the Davenport Center for processing.
* Duties may be combined if locations/times are in close proximity.
MVRBC vehicle and gas card provided.
Youth Education Assistant (Davenport, IA)
Provide assistance to our youth education department by presenting information to all ranges of school aged children. Volunteer should be approachable, have basic biology or science background, possess clear communication skills, comfort in public speaking and Power Point Presentations. Must like working with youth and be reliable and energetic.
