Only 9% of the population has O-negative blood. Just 3% of the population has type AB blood.
…and always in demand!100% of the population can receive O-negative red blood cells and type AB plasma.
While donors must wait 56 days between donations, red blood cells must be used within 42 days. Plasma can be kept in a frozen state for a year, but once thawed, it has to be used within 5 days.
Will you donate at least 4 times a year to help patients in need?
Upon completing your fourth donation, you’ll receive a special gift reserved just for our Universal Donors!
