The July 31 blood drive at the K.C. Hall in Highland, Illinois, marked the final day of our KSHE summer blood drive! Just like it has for decades, the St. Louis classic rock radio station turned up the volume for this summertime effort:
- 13 locations
- 5 hot days in July
- 1 legendary radio station
- 1000s of willing blood donors
All KSHE donors received our limited edition T-shirt. New this year: First-time donors, and the donor who brought them, each received a special KSHE bandana.
Most importantly, thousands of people in need of a blood transfusion got potentially lifesaving treatment, because blood is medicine.
This annual event is such a big deal, it gets media attention! KMOV First Alert 4 took notice, and so did KTVI Fox-2!
This all happens because of the work you do! Thank you for another great KSHE!
DOGUST: A Good Giving Treat!
Dogust is here, and that means we're saving more than human lives!
A mash-up of Dog and August, Dogust is a chance to shine a spotlight on our furry friends, and how blood donation can help shelter pets through our Good Giving program. All month long, every donor has the chance to pay forward their donor reward to a pet shelter through our Good Giving program. One donation, twice the good.
And there's a limited-edition T-shirt on our Rewards Store for 800 points -- fetch yours before they're gone!
Inspiring Future Lifesavers
Future lifesavers got an inside look at blood donation as we welcomed members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley last week for a behind-the-scenes visit of our Davenport headquarters. The group explored how blood is collected, tested, and prepared for patients, all while learning how blood donors make a lifesaving difference every day. Each student also had the opportunity to be blood-typed!
By connecting with young people early, we're helping inspire the next generation of blood donors and community leaders. Thank you to everyone who helped make the visit a memorable experience. We can't wait to see these future lifesavers roll up their sleeves in the years ahead!
Feria de Regreso a Clases with Telemundo - St Louis
We spent last weekend at the Telemundo - St. Louis Feria de Regreso a Clases, or Back to School Fair, at St. Joseph Parish in Manchester.
It was a chance to educate families about the ongoing need for blood donors and how one donation can help save lives. We also highlighted our Donar Sangre program, which focuses on increasing blood donation awareness and participation within Hispanic and Latino communities.
Through culturally relevant outreach and bilingual education, the program helps build understanding and inspire more community members to become lifesaving donors.
Together we can change the world, one donor and one patient at a time!
Rallying "Fore" Kids, Together
Blood is medicine for pediatric cancer patients.
It's why we were proud to sponsor a hole and field a team at this year's Rally for Reid Golf Outing, helping support children and families affected by childhood cancer.
Participants even traded their putters for ImpactLife pickleball paddles on one hole, adding a fun twist while helping spread the message that giving blood is a way to help keep kids in the fight.
Inspired by Reid Gleeson's own cancer journey and the blood transfusions that supported him, the Rally for Reid Foundation has become an incredible advocate for blood donation. In 2026 alone, the foundation has been credited with 231 blood donations. We're grateful to partner with an organization that's changing lives for local families both on and off the golf course.
