KSHE SUMMER BLOOD DRIVE 2026
![KSHE SUMMER BLOOD DRIVE 2026]()
Last weekend, we were excited to once again collaborate with a longtime partner to host one of the nation’s largest blood drives. The big weekend of this year’s KSHE-95 Summer Blood Drive was held on July 10 and 11, and an incredible 1,686 registered donors visited nine locations across the St Louis area to rock and roll up their sleeves. In addition to saving lives and celebrating classic rock, the KSHE Summer Blood Drive comes just one week after the yearly drop in donations during the Fourth of July celebration, making the success of the event even more critical to the local blood supply.
The annual blood drive brings with it a highly-sought-after T-shirt design unique to the event, available to every donor who participates. This year we introduced a new bandana for first-time donors – as well as for anyone who brought a first-time donor with them. The bandanas proved popular and eye-catching, and sure to be a prized accessory for KSHE listeners lucky enough to snag one.
Three more Friday-afternoon KSHE blood drives remain this summer. A huge thanks to all the donors for another memorable life-saving event! Enjoy the pics of some of the wonderful donors and staff who showed up to make an impact!
BE PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER
We have the best donors, which is why we think they will make the best blood drive partners!
Last week, we rolled out our first-ever Donor to Partner initiative designed to help us find more blood drive partners by asking our donors to consider teaming up with us for a drive. Themed to tie into our “Be Part of Something Bigger” campaign, we’ve sent out an initiative kit (pictured below) to all our donor center locations, who will additionally distribute materials to any mobile drives that are associated with them.
There’s never been a better time to ask a donor to partner! An extra-special thank-you goes out to Anika Barnes, who originally submitted a similar idea intended for St. Louis centers - which we loved so much, we wanted to share it at all centers and mobile blood drives!

GIVING RUNS IN THE FAMILY
Compassion is contagious, just ask the Cavanarys. Danielle, in the middle, knows that saving lives is even more meaningful when it's a family affair. At their drive earlier this week at Axiom Consultants in Iowa City, where Danielle works, she was joined by her husband and son as all three rolled up their sleeves to support local patients in need.
Danielle also knows what it means to go above and beyond as both a longtime blood drive coordinator and member of the Corridor Associate Board. Here's to families and community members who lead by example!
