Corpuscle Shuffle 5K

On Saturday, we gathered for our annual Corpuscle Shuffle 5K and had a fantastic turnout. Staff, donors, families, and friends filled the course with energy and support.

All proceeds from the event go to our LifeSavings School Grant Program, which gives back to schools that host blood drives with us to help with classroom projects, scholarships, and other needs.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, and helped make this year's Corpuscle Shuffle a success.

BCx Risk Management

Risk management is critical to everything we do!

Last week, five members of our team traveled to Rosemont for the BCx Risk Management Conference. Mike Parejko (Chief Executive Officer), Jessica Welch (Manager, Risk), Jade Ditto (Manager, Patient Services and Automated Procedures), Lorena Anderson (Manager, Training), and Katie Marchik (Chief Operating Officer), spent two days focused on risk management and ways we can work together to keep both team members and donors safe.

Four of us took the stage to share our knowledge, with Mike serving as the keynote speaker for the event. It was a great opportunity to connect with peers across the industry, exchange ideas, and bring back new insights to strengthen safety at every level of what we do.

Student Impact Awards

We sat down with our Student Impact Award winners to hear why they stepped up to lead blood drives and what saving lives means to them. The result is a powerful new video sharing their passion, hope, and the difference one student can make.

These young leaders are building a culture of giving at their schools and inspiring others to donate. Their stories remind us that the future of blood donation is bright and it starts with students who care deeply about helping others.
