"Every day, blood is medicine for kids with cancer."

We will always be Team Tessa.

For two years, Tessa endured treatment for osteosarcoma and then leukemia. Part of that treatment was blood transfusions.

Before she passed away in March of 2023, she created the Tessa Sutton Foundation, to help other kids fight cancer. It's our honor to be part of her legacy.

OrSense in Cedar Rapids & Iowa City

Saving lives just got easier!

OrSense rolled out this week at our Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. It's really cool technology that measures hemoglobin in a non-invasive way, with a sensor instead of a finger stick.

By the end of this year, all centers and mobiles will have this new technology! It's one more way we're improving the donor experience.

Soul On Fire

We kicked off our sponsorship of "Soul on Fire," the movie depicting the life of St. Louis native John O'Leary. The movie depicts O'Leary's survival and healing after suffering burns over 100% of his body as a child, in 1987.

Between Sept. 25 – Oct. 9, the first 100 people who donate blood in one of our four St. Louis area donor centers will be emailed a Fandango gift card toward a "Soul on Fire" movie ticket!

"As a burn survivor, I know firsthand the life-saving power of donated blood," said John O'Leary. "It was a gift from strangers that allowed me to fight for my life and ultimately to heal. That's why I am so profoundly grateful for ImpactLife's partnership in the release of 'Soul on Fire'."
