Runners, walkers, and volunteers came together on a crisp, October morning for our 5th Annual Corpuscle Shuffle 5K run and 1-mile walk on Sat., Oct. 7. With the support of our sponsors and race registrations, the effort helped raise more than $25,000 towards the blood center's Lifesavings Grant program.

Participants enjoyed a sunny day, although it was breezy with cool temps. Following the race, everyone came together at Five Cities Brewery for a chance to warm up and enjoy a post-race breakfast. Congratulations to all participants and THANK YOU to our sponsors and volunteers! (Click here for 2023 race results, and see below for event photos!)

About Lifesavings

ImpactLife offers Lifesavings Grants to schools that host blood drives, making the program a key element of our outreach to the next generation of blood donors. Kindergarten through 12th grade institutions that host blood drives with ImpactLife receive a grant of $250, plus $1 for each registered blood donor. Schools can use these to purchase books, equipment, and technology; for scholarships; or to donate to another not-for-profit or cause.

We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with our education partners and help educate the next generation of blood donors. THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the Corpuscle Shuffle a success!
