Davenport, Iowa –Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will host the inaugural “Corpuscle Shuffle” on the morning of Saturday, April 28.

Funds raised through race entries and sponsorships will support MVRBC’s LifeSavings grants, a program under which MVRBC provides funding to schools that host mobile blood drives. LifeSavings grants can be used to defray expenses for the blood drive, for educational purposes within the school district, for scholarships, or to support approved charitable initiatives.

The 5K and 1-mile run / walk will begin at 8 a.m. at MVRBC’s headquarters in Davenport (5500 Lakeview Pkwy.). For full details, a course map, and link to online registration, see www.bloodcenter.org/5K.
