ImpactLife is contending with a late season snowstorm that is affecting blood collection and distribution operations in parts of the blood center’s four-state service region. Beginning Sunday and overnight into Monday, the storm dumped more than a foot of snow in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin, leading to blood drive cancelations and missed appointments at ImpactLife donor centers. The blood provider is now appealing to eligible donors in regions not hit by the storm to help make up for those lost donations.
Donors can book their appointment online or by calling (800) 747-5401, by texting LIFESAVER to 999-777 or via the ImpactLife mobile app (www.bloodcenter.org/app).
Donor Center Bonus Week Begins March 16
To help boost appointments and thank donors who come to ImpactLife Donor Centers, ImpactLife is boosting the value of Donor Rewards for all donations made at ImpactLife Donor Center locations March 16 through April 5. Within these dates, all non-deferred whole blood and double red cell donations made at an ImpactLife donor center will earn a $20 e-gift card bonus (or 1000 bonus points) in addition to regular gift values. This means a total of $40 gift card value (or more) for eligible donations.
Put Good Into the World through Good Giving
Under ImpactLife's Donor For Life program, blood donors receive a voucher to redeem for their choice of an electronic gift card, bonus points to use in the ImpactLife Donor Rewards Store, or an equivalent value donation to support a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Reward values are based on donor frequency. See www.bloodcenter.org/rewards for complete information on current donor promotions and the Good Giving initiative.
