Representatives from ImpactLife recently visited Eastern Illinois Foodbank to present a $2472 donation from the blood center’s “Good Giving” donor promotion and to learn how the organization helps its neighbors meet their nutritional needs in eastern Illinois. Volunteer blood donors raised funds for Eastern Illinois Foodbank through ImpactLife’s “Good Giving” donor promotion.

Eastern Illinois Foodbank Director of Development, Amanda Borden, provided a tour of the Urbana, Illinois food bank offices and distribution center to representatives from ImpactLife on Thursday, March 28 (see photos, below).

During the holiday season, ImpactLife blood donors were given a voucher to redeem for their choice of an electronic gift card or to donate the same amount to support local food banks in the blood center’s service region. Nearly 1000 donors directed their support to food banks for a total of $18,290 now being distributed to food banks that serve communities of the ImpactLife service region. (Additional check presentations and tours are scheduled with regional food banks across the blood center's service region.)
