Following a recent announcement that another major blood collection organization will decrease resources for mobile blood drives, ImpactLife is reaching out to schools, businesses, churches, and community organizations to let them know the nonprofit blood center will ensure resources remain available for community blood drives in western Illinois, southeast Iowa, and northwest Missouri.

ImpactLife is a nonprofit community blood center, established in 1974, that serves more than 130 hospitals and emergency medical services teams in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin. The blood center carries out an average of more than 5000 mobile blood drives a year and stands ready to partner with community groups to continue this vital, life-saving outreach.

“Holding a community blood drive is about more than supporting the blood supply,” said Lindsay Erhardt-Hansen, Manager, Regional Development. “It’s a powerful way for people across our region to come together as neighbors and strengthen communities while providing a critical resource that helps save lives. We are committed to ensuring opportunities to give blood remain strong and accessible in the Tri-States region.”
