ImpactLife announces the appointment of Katie Marchik as the blood center’s Chief Operating Officer. The former Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for UnityPoint Health - Quad Cities Market will begin her duties at ImpactLife on July 1, 2024.

“Katie is a proven, dynamic leader who brings more than 20 years of hospital leadership experience to ImpactLife,” said Mike Parejko, Chief Executive Officer. “We are fortunate to attract a candidate with such extensive financial and operational leadership expertise as well as a strong commitment to serving our community, demonstrated throughout her tenure with UnityPoint Health. We look forward to welcoming Katie to the executive management team at ImpactLife.”

As COO, Marchik will report to the CEO and will have direct oversight of Donor & Patient Services, Technical Services, and Donor Relations & Marketing.

Katie MarchikAfter earning a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from University of Northern Iowa, Marchik (right) began her career as an Audit Associate with RSM (formerly McGladrey & Pullen, LLP). Marchik moved to UnityPoint Health - Quad Cities Market in 2004 as Director of Finance. She then served in Finance, Treasury, and Supply Management roles at UnityPoint Health Corporate Services before being named the organization’s Chief Financial Officer for the Quad Cities Market in 2016.

Marchik’s current Board and community involvement includes Quad City Symphony Orchestra, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley, and Iowans for International Adoption. The Bettendorf resident was a recipient of the WLC Women of Influence Award (2021) and the Quad Cities Leaders Under 40 Award (2006).
