One of the nation’s largest blood drives is set to take place this weekend (December 12 and 13) at nine locations across the St. Louis region. The KSHE Winter Blood Drive -- expected to provide more than 2000 donations -- comes just in time to bolster our region's blood supply for the holiday season. Events are scheduled December 12 and 13, with additional blood drives planned for Dec. 19, 20, and 26.
For the complete schedule, see www.bloodcenter.org/KSHE. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are also welcome. Donors can book appointments online or by calling (800) 747-5401, by texting LIFESAVER to 999-777 or via the ImpactLife mobile app (www.bloodcenter.org/app).
The KSHE Winter Blood Drive comes at just the right time as ImpactLife looks to increase inventories to help recover donations lost from winter weather and to bolster the blood supply ahead of Christmas and New Year holidays. All donors will receive the prized KSHE blood drive T-shirt and entry in a drawing for tickets to see El Monstero at The Pageant later this month.

Everyone who comes to give blood will receive the limited-edition KSHE Winter Blood Drive T-shirt (above) and automatic entry into a drawing for a pair of tickets to see El Monstero at The Pageant in December (one winner for a pair of tickets chosen from each blood drive location).
The KSHE Blood Drive was first held in 1984 to help support the blood supply during this critical time of year. Since that time, the KSHE listening audience has become a reliable base of support for the blood supply during the summer and holiday season, with nearly 5000 listeners participating in the July and December blood drives every year.
