ImpactLife will hold a ribbon-cutting for its new Donor Center in Fairview Heights on Wednesday, March 23. Local donors have provided 60 to 70 donations per week at this location, adding crucial support for the region’s blood supply since opening in late January. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. (Wed., March 23) with remarks from ImpactLife and the Metro-East Regional Chamber of Commerce beginning at noon. 

Fairview Heights Donor CenterThe Donor Center is located at 10900B Lincoln Trail (Midway Plaza) in Fairview Heights. Local donors, news media, and Chamber of Commerce representatives are invited to attend the ceremony, which will feature remarks on the blood supply, information on blood donation, and a light lunch.

The new Donor Center is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Sundays from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. Appointments are required for donation. ImpactLife is a not-for-profit provider of blood components to 125 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin and collects donations on mobile blood drives as well as ImpactLife Donor Centers spread across the blood center’s service region. ImpactLife also operates donation centers in Crestwood and Saint Peters, Missouri and has a regional operations hub, laboratory, and product distribution center in Earth City.

Donors Invited to “Give Back & Go Green”
ImpactLife announced a new promotion earlier this week in which donors will have the opportunity to have a tree planted on their behalf in a U.S. National Forest. From March 21 through May 15, all presenting donors will be given a “Give Back & Go Green” voucher to redeem for a gift card and a tree to be planted by National Forest Foundation on their behalf.
