• Why Should I Refer a Friend to Give Blood?

  While we have a strong and dedicated donor base, there is always a continued need for more donations to meet patient demands. Without new donors, it becomes increasingly challenging to maintain a steady supply and ensure that hospitals across our regions receive the blood they need. Many people may not have donated simply because they haven’t been asked to think about it.

  That’s where you come in! By simply asking your family, friends, coworkers, and community members if they’d be interested in learning about blood donation, you can make a huge difference. It only takes a few seconds to ask, and your efforts can save many lives.

  When someone you refer creates a donor account using your unique referral code and donates at an ImpactLife location, both you and the person you referred will be credited with a bonus as a thank-you for helping grow our donor base. Your referral directly contributes to the continued success of our blood drives and helps ensure a steady supply for those in need.

• Can I Get Referral Credit from Referring Someone Who Already Has an Account?

  No, referral credit is only given when a new donor account is created. However, if someone has donated with us in the past but hasn’t yet created a donor account, you can still receive credit if they create an account using your referral code or link.

• How Long Will It Take for a Referral to Show Up in My Account?

  Once a referral has been successfully completed, it will appear in both donor accounts immediately, or after a quick page refresh. However, please note that points may take about up to 48 hours to show on your account.

  If your referral appears but you haven't received your bonus points within 48 hours, please feel free to reach out to our helpline for assistance.

• What if the referral code is entered incorrectly? Will the referral go to another person?

  Once a person confirms their account registration after having entered the referral code, they will receive a pop-up confirming the name of the donor they were referred by. This two-step process allows for people to ensure they are entering the code correctly and crediting the correct individual.

• How do I find my referral code?

  Referral codes live permanently at the bottom of the homepage of your donor account. If you scroll all the way down, you will be able to locate your unique referral code to send to individuals.

• Can I Receive Multiple Bonuses for the Same Donor Every Time They Donate?

  You will receive one credit per donor when you first refer them. However, you can continue to recruit as many new donors as you'd like, and your referral code can be used an unlimited number of times!

• Can I Change or Customize My Referral Code?

  Currently, we do not offer the ability to change or customize referral codes. Each code is automatically generated and tied to a specific donor to ensure accuracy and minimize errors, so it remains fixed.

• Why can’t I find my referral code in my app?

  At this time, donor referral codes are only visible in their donor account when viewed in the desktop version, not via the mobile app.

• Can someone use my referral code when scheduling an appointment without setting up a donor account?

  Scheduled appointments without account creation will not count as a referral. The donor must set up an account with a username and password in order to activate the referral.

• Does the person I refer need to bring the referral code with them to their donation appointment?

  No, the donor will not need to present your referral code at their donation. Once the referred individual enters your code into their account creation page, it will be permanently linked to their account and accessible by our staff.
