If a hospital requires confirmation or assistance in identification of antibodies, an Immunohematology Consultation Request form (link below and in BloodHub) must be completed and accompany the samples. ImpactLife will provide transportation of the sample.
It is important to include as much information as possible to assist ImpactLife in antibody resolution.
After identification, an initial report is provided to your hospital laboratory by phone, then the report is placed in BloodHub. ImpactLife will place a final report in BloodHub reviewed by the Medical Director. If units are required, ImpactLife will screen the large known antigen database and inventory for our donors to assist with providing antigen negative units. ImpactLife participates in the American Rare Donor Program which can be used to locate extremely rare donor units.
