The Associate Board of the Blood Center is a group of diverse 20-49 year old individuals focused on building networks and awareness of the Blood Center, increasing the Blood Center’s volunteer network and donor base and supporting special events. There will be multiple Associate Boards geographically spread across the region served by the Blood Center. Q: How many members will be on each board?A: At least 7 members and no more than 19 members will be on each board.
Q: What are the board leadership roles?A: Each board will have 3 leadership roles, including Associate Board Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary.
Q: What is the time commitment to be a Board member? A: Board members will meet once a month with an expectation that Board members attend 75% of meetings. Board Chairs will be expected to attend two extra meetings per year at the Blood Center Headquarters in Davenport, Iowa. Additional meetings may develop as committees are formed.
Q: What is the difference between an application form and nomination form?A: All candidates must fill out an application form. Nomination forms are not required but appreciated.
Q: What are the term limits for a Board member? A: There will be varied term lengths between 1 and 3 years.
