Student Impact Award

High school students can earn recognition for donating blood, recruiting donors, volunteering, or coordinating a blood drive. Students who complete the program may receive a graduation honor cord, certificate of achievement, and awards-night recognition, subject to school approval.

LifeSavings Grant Program

When your school hosts an ImpactLife blood drive, your lifesaving work can also support projects that matter to your students, classrooms, and community.

$250 plus $1 per donation

Host a drive. Fund something meaningful.

Public and private pre-K–12 schools within the ImpactLife service region can apply after hosting a blood drive that collects at least 20 donations.

Grant funding can support a student scholarship, charitable donation, classroom or curriculum need, or another project that advances the ImpactLife mission.

Engage students beyond the blood drive.

Vein to Vein resources are designed to support the Next Generation Science Standards while also offering opportunities to incorporate English Language Arts and Mathematics.

  • Explore virtual patient scenarios that bring the need for blood to life.
  • Lead classroom discussions and Socratic Seminars.
  • Create commercials, social campaigns, or student surveys.
  • Introduce careers that support the nation’s blood supply.

Mixed Reality at School Drives

At select high school blood drives, students can use Mixed Reality to explore the blood donation journey in an immersive new way. The experience provides a distraction for high-school-age, first-time donors!
